When Tom and I decided to expand our family, we felt that adoption was the way to go. Right now we're paperchasing (gathering all the required documents). It's a pretty involved process, but I'm working hard to keep it organized.

Here is a map showing the provinces of China. I wonder where our daughter will be born?

Hi Diane,
Friends w/ Lorraine, my husband Dean and I are in the same position w/ waiting. It's extremely hard but worth the wait and your daughter will be here before you know it. There is a great Long Island support group called Families w/ Children from China, there are families that are going over, have their children and are waiting at all different stages and they are wonderful supportive people. http://www.fccli.org/
We wish you the best and if you ever want to chat please let me know.

Hi Alison. Thanks for the words of encouragement. It helps to hear from people that are going through it, too.

I'm not sure why I haven't joined Families With Children From China yet. I've been to their site a bunch of times.

Good luck to you on your wait. Your son is beautiful.
